Les Arcs ski resorts are supported by an intensive lift system. And there are numerous hotels, chalets, apartments, and other lodging areas for comfortable accommodations. Les Arcs is indeed a fun winter holiday scene. But the fun and adventure in Les Arcs do not step when the winter ends. The Les Arcs might be located in the French Alps but it can also be your most exciting summer holiday destination. All five mountain resorts in Les Arcs offer various holiday escapades. These five resorts, together with several tourist areas in Les Arcs, form a constellation of adventures.
The array of adventures at Les Arcs
The Arc 1600 ski resort in summer offers a relaxing break from the winter thrills and chills. As the Isère River swells with melted glacial waters, the Arc 1600 invites you to the most indulgent body spa from its premier massage and beauty center. The historic backdrop of the resort lulls you to a sleepy enchantment. Then, after the relaxing massage, you will feel happily invigorated and animated.
The Arc 1800 ski resort in summer provides sports activities that are alternatives to skiing and snowboarding. These sports include tennis and wall climbing. There is also a high-altitude golf course with the greens that are made alive by the summer sun. If these sports don't appeal to you, you can enjoy the splendor of nature's beauty by simply following the ski resort's network of footpaths.
A romantic getaway among Le Arc 1950
The Arc 1950 ski resort presents a rustic and romantic setting. One of the highest ski resorts in the heart of the French Alps, the Arc 1950 is the place to be when you wanted to see the majestic snow-covered mountain ranges. Then, as you scan the blue skies, your eyes will be riveted to the playful antics and graceful glides of the kestrel, one of the world's most colorful falcons. It is the summer flock of kestrels that make the Arc 1950 a romantic ski resort.
Perfect for nature lovers
The Arc 2000 ski resort is excellent for bona fide nature lovers. There are numerous hiking and walking trails that ribbon in and around the favorite hangouts of the marmot. Don't let any French hear you say that these marmots are mere rodents. Technically, the marmots are large squirrels but the French would be murmuring an appreciative "merci" if you would use the description of the great explorer Marco Polo, which is the "Pharaoh's rat."
An experience for all adventurers
And finally, the Bourg Saint Maurice ski resort is ideal for those who love various forms of excitement, from white water rafting, canoeing, paragliding, riding hot air balloons, mountain biking, and even fencing and kick boxing. The Bourg Saint Maurice is the most happening ski resort in the area.
The other places to visit in Les Arcs include the villages and towns of Hauteville-Gondon, Valezan, Seez, and Vulmix. They showcase the art and architecture throughout French history. These villages and towns can be visited for certain fees but moving from one ski resort to another is always free. You even have a choice of transport methods, such as the funicular, the lift, and the cabriolet. You must try the cabriolet at least once.
